Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings, Celebrations
Conveniently placed between Chichester and Selsey in the heart of the delightful and rural Manhood Peninsular, Sidlesham Memorial Hall provides an excellent setting for your very special day.. With a fabulous large Main Hall catering for up to 150 and two smaller rooms, we can offer great flexibility. The grounds provide a delightful setting for those special photographs. We understand the importance of your event and will do everything possible to assist.
Children's Birthday Party
Childrens' parties are a speciality and can be booked for a very modest fee, and of course the proximity of our wonderful adventure playground is an added bonus. Bouncy castles are available for hire locally and be used both indoor and outside, subject to weather, and adhering to appropriate Health and Safety regulations.
Parents can of course avail themselves of the well-equipped kitchen.
wakes
There are of course less happy occasions such as wakes and life celebrations.
Our sympathetic team will be pleased to assist you in making suitable arrangements.
Kitchen
With a fully equipped kitchen the main hall can feed up to 150 guests. Many hirers for parties will wish to do their own catering.
This is easily achieved with good access, and plenty of room for preparing sandwiches and buffets. The kitchen is ideally located next to the Main Hall. Clubs and societies may find use of the kitchen to be very cost-effective.
Catering
We are able to put you in contact with local caterers, who can provide anything from buffet to banquet, not forgetting barbecues and hog roasts.
The facility is extremely flexible insomuch as an outdoor party can be planned, with the option of bringing it indoors in case of inclement British weather!
Bar
Sidlesham Memorial Hall offers two bars. The Villagers bar, in one of the smaller rooms, is a cosy and intimate setting. Drinks prices are very modest. On the last Friday of each month, there is usually an “open mic” evening where villagers can enjoy local singers, guitarists, accordionists and much more.
The Main Hall bar is situated in the large hall and is ideal for large parties. We have our own premises licence and can provide a cash bar for functions. Hirers may also bring in own drinks, where a corkage charge may apply.
Multi Purpose Facilities
The combination of a multi-purpose building, well kept grounds, excellent free parking make SMH a fabulous and economical venue for so many events. As well as appealing to football teams there us scope for rounders, pétanque, cricket.
The spacious grounds have been successfully used for open air concert, fete, Summer show, classic car gatherings and much more. The Main Hall is ideal for dance groups, karaoke nights, Murder Mystery evenings, Burns Night reels and much else. Recently there have been well attended concerts showing local talent. It is anticipated there will be demand from local drama groups for productions and rehearsals .

We appreciate that no two parties or events are the same. Our friendly team will do their utmost to give you every assistance. Audio visual equipment can usually be arranged.
We are in contact with numerous local suppliers and can provide anything you need for your event, from marquees to teaspoons!
Furniture & Equipment
Sidlesham Memorial Hall offers a useful range of tables and chairs. Where necessary this can be augmented from local hire companies.
Users of the Main Hall for performances will benefit from LED multi colour spot lights, a spacious stage and an adjacent Green Room/dressing room
